Auto Optimization

Introducing Auto Optimization

Some of the most important tools we traders have are our trading indicators, which we use to help us identify buying and selling opportunities.

However, manually finding the optimal settings for these indicators is difficult and tedious.

At best – if your trading platform has the ability – you would need to custom program strategies based on your indicators and run time consuming optimization tests, browse through the optimal settings for each of the different symbols and timeframes, and then manually apply these every time you open a chart.

Just like changing the settings manually, this too is time intensive, tedious, and never as real-time as you’d like it to be.

Definitely not ideal!

This is is why we developed Auto Optimization.

Auto Optimization will find out the best settings for you, running optimization tests in real-time and doing the heavy lifting to figure out the best combination of parameters so that you as a trader can get the best trading signals.

Instead of doing tedious manual tests or changing the settings yourself, Auto Optimization will run these tests and then automatically apply the settings that give you the highest odds of succeeding in your next trades, all while your indicator is applied to the chart.

We have built this feature into our Power Bundle indicators 1-2-3 Strike!, Divergence Cloud, and Volatility Crusher, as well as our Super Signals.

On NinjaTrader 8

Auto Optimizing Indicators

On NinjaTrader 8, Auto Optimization is as easy as the click of the ‘Optimize’ button in the draggable on-chart widget. It can also be configured to automatically optimize whenever one of our indicators is applied or the chart symbol or timeframe changes by using the ‘Optimize on Load’ option.

The ‘Optimization Mode’ dropdown lets you select how thorough you want the Auto Optimizer to be. It determines how many combinations of settings the process will test to find the highest performing one. The heavier the mode you select, the longer the optimization process will take.

On TradingView

Auto Optimizing Indicators

On TradingView, the indicators automatically run an optimization process in the background which tests a preset number of parameter combinations and then displays to you on the chart which settings are best to use. These ‘best settings’ are called the ‘Optimized Settings’ and are displayed in the on-chart panel.

To use these optimized settings, you next need to open up the indicator’s options window and select those settings from the ‘Settings Used’ dropdown.
